Swimming Holes – Cathu State Forest
Hope your week is going well,
If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat, you would have seen that two weekends ago my family and a couple of our friend’s families visited the Cathu State Forest for a BBQ lunch and a swim in one of the swimming holes. The Cathu State Forest is about 40 minutes south of Proserpine and is definitely a must go if you are passing by. The water was the perfect temperature and so clear, I never knew there was such a beautiful spot so close to home.
If you happen to have a 4WD, there is a lookout up the top of the mountain with SPECTACULAR views of the mountains. The road is made of dirt, is a little rough, and steep, but once you make it to the top it’s all worth it!
We didn’t get to camp this visit, but next time I would love to bring Joseph and take our soon to own rooftop tent and camp for a couple nights at the free(ish) camping grounds.
I hope you enjoyed this!
Let me know what you’ve been up to!
Talk to you soon,
